Support Strokes 2005 First Training Paddle

Paddlers Galore line up for the first 2005 Support Strokes training paddle. It was a GORGEOUS day for paddling to Coast Guard Island and back. 16 newbies showed up, along with 6 experienced folk.

The storm drain under the pilings. This is EXTREMELY low tide: normally the drain is not very visible.

Peggy under the pilings. There's about 20 tons of crane above our heads, so the slightest earthquake would have smooshed us into a grease blotch.

The Event Report for Support Strokes 2005 First Training Paddle

Support Strokes #1 training paddle. CCK's dock, around Coast Guard Island. What a GORGEOUS day! We told everybody to launch at 8am, so most everybody showed up about 7:30am.


16 newbie paddlers
6 "trainers"
